Dragon has previously offered two separate 7.5cm PaK 40 antitank gun kits in
1/35 scale, but the subject has just been given an up-to-the-minute upgrade
in the guise of a Premium Edition release. Improvements to the already excellent
kit include a new photo-etched gun shield that is accurately angled and realistically
scaled after installation. Other enhancements are an aluminum gun barrel, a
choice of three types of road wheel, two sets of tires (new or well worn), and
a generous assortment of accessories like ammo cases and ammo tubes.
Another exciting dimension has been reached with the inclusion of a set of
five crewmen. The crew are posed in lifelike postures as though engaged in combat
as they repel an enemy tank assault. This kit marks a welcome arrival in Dragon’s
1/35 scale range, and the lavish range of brand new options, accessories and
figures will allow modelers to make all sorts of exciting dioramas.
